Getting ready to cross over to the dark side and purchase my first HD . I am one of those guys that usually buy new cause I always want the latest and greatest. However I will probably add some mods to whatever I get eventually. So with all that being said what is the difference? Thanks in advance!

 

The Motor is now a 103" in '09 it was 96".
Question, if you only buy new what does it matter what the difference is unless, of course, you already own a '09.

Looking at a 2009 that is for sale as well. And like I mentioned I USUALLY buy new, but not always. So I guess I should say that I am exploring my options. Thanks for the info Streetrunner.

 

Are you looking for an ultra or a custom? I'd recommend 11 or newer with a 103, minor differences, mostly in color choices.

Yeah he means 103" Heres what I know---

2010-13 have catylitac converters the 09's dont.
2011-13 have automatic electronic compression releases.
I think there is more but it is all little things nothing to major.

I bought one in March and it is the best bike I have ever had.

 

'09 was the first year of the new touring frame.
