Benefit - aesthetics - better slope lines with the seat, better air flow on the heads, easier to clean. Downside: Less usable fuel.

I cant imagine you could lift both front and back by the same height and *not* have it be completely funky.

So I kept looking at the lift and something was just not right, cold see the tabs on the front of the tank, cut the middle out of the stock rubber cover a little at a time and then painted the bolt much cleaner looking now

I agree. But you can lift the rear by about 1/2" and get a really good look and even better air flow.

Check out the before and after pics of the RG HERE

I really did not like the original look but what you have now looks great. Most excellent job. Maybe the manufacturer will learn from this.

Hint hint....

Nice mod, looks good. Does anyone know if the Kury neck and front frame covers will work with the lift kit??

I lifted the front AND back of mine so as to NOT lose any usable fuel. Lifted the front by 1 3/4" and then lifted the back by 3/4 of an inch. That kept the same original lines but just a tad higher. Made the kit myself out of some stuff I had laying around...........total cost was about $8

To me if you dont lift the front and the back your gonna lose some usable fuel.

Now I am convinced there is a mod for everything. That is one I never thunk.......I would like to see a view a bit farther away to get a better feel of the fit.

I actually lifted mine cause I needed to move my oil pressure gauge forward to accommodate the heat shields. So it was a mod out of necessity but I was happy with the end result.
