Default 13.5" rear shock users?

Possibly pondering some better rear shocks as a late winter upgrade (type TBD) and it got me wondering about 13.5" length. Upping to a .5" longer than stock shock will probably quicken steering a bit and maybe lead to a bit faster front tire wear. Just curious to see if anyone has gone the longer route vs. the shorter route? I'm 6'3"/35.5" inseam and not really interested in going lower. Thx for any input ...

I doubt if there will be any significant change. If you have the stock shocks they sag quite a bit when you sit on them. If you simply replace them with good quality shocks, that don't sag as much, you will effectively have a slightly higher ride height at the rear.

As for your TBD, HDF sponsor Howard at Motorcycle Metal is worthy of a phone call!

I do not have any problem with my stock shocks after 90K plus miles. If mine sag more then I like I put more air in them. Most times 10 PSI works loaded or not.
