The union HAS pushed PAST the limit. We have some empty furniture and textile plants and layed off workers here in NC where we'd love to build Harleys. Willie G.. are you listening???
Agreed pi$$ on unions. Anytime a union is envolved in something the consumer ends up paying twice for a product than it's actually worth and the product isn't made any better than a product made by a non-union company!

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the York Plant produces the Touring bikes and the Softail models. I saw a white paper from HD at the dealer today....Moco offered them a 3% raise/year for 3 years plus some additional health benefits......Union turned it down.

Read the article, the company is asking for concessions while they record rising sales and profits. They are dangeling a carrot of retirement while creating a "two tier" workforce by cutting the wage of new hires by around 10%. I'd like to see the executives' salaries and bonus/retirement packages.

If the plant shut down chances are they'd move considerablely farther south than North Carolina, even south of Arizona.

Union Yes!

So, speaking as someone who has an '07 RoadKing on order, I guess I'll be looking at a day-for-day slip in delivery now.

Dammit.

Disgruntled? I will be...[:'(]
