Default if you are thinking tires (tyres)

Been doing some pricing research for tires for the 2011 FKHTK. Michelin Commander II 185/65-16 rear and 130/80-17 front in black-wall.

Dennis Kirk $305

Motorcycle Superstore $309

Jake Wilson $293

American Motorcycle Tire $299

Phat Performance doesn't seem to have the Commander II. I didn't bother with the higher priced like J&P

Prices include shipping

DK would have been $10 less except for a "tire fee" , $5 each, what ever the hell that is.

FWIW the Drag specialties on-line catalog lists the rear tire at $320 or so

I suggest you shop around more. I just priced them at over $500 for the pair. Seems to me just a bit higher, than what I found.

maybe I am reading it wrong but I think the prices he is listing is for both front and rear so those prices are better than $500 a pair.

Do plenty of research on the Michelin Commander II.

I put one on the back of my 2009 SG and think the compound is too hard.
As in slippery wet or dry. At least less tacky than the stock Dunlop that got 24K.

The ride and balance are fine.

I am curious if there was a change in compound as some say it is the stickyest tire they ever had.

Yes, the prices I gave are for 2, a front and rear tire shipped to my AL address. Just for curiosity I went to the local HD dealer to see what they would charge. I told them, about the DK prices. 300 for 1 tire through them

Dennis Kirk will beat anyone's price by $1, that puts them at $291.

Good point. I am going to need both soon so I'll call them to match. Have had real good dealings with DK on several purchases.

Any Indy shops in your area?

I was in the market for tires earlier this year and was going to buy them online. Happened to ride by a local Indy shop and stopped in to see what they could offer.
Front & rear Dunlop American Elites for $400 installed. (Me bringing in the wheels.)
