I have 7000 plus miles on my 07 ultra which I lovebut it rattles in 5th & 6th gear,I've tried four different oils in the trans,my last shot will be the redline shockproff oil,I just hope HD takes care of us and doesn't forget it when its fixed on the 08 models.

OK first of all $25,000 is bike, essential riders tour pak package, detachable docking hardware, service agrement, and 7 year extended warranty, tax, prep. I talked to the dealer today. They have again aknowledged the sound and have stated that it is an issue with some part in the tranny. I cant remember what he called it specifically. He is getting the factory involved. I should hear something tomorrow on there plans to proceed. I am confident this will be settled. The loner they gave me performs flawlessly. I can't wait until mine does. I firmly believe the boys at Orlando Harley will take care of this properly.

Knocking on wood, my 07 UC (granted only 450 miles) currently doesn't have any of the problems that have been posted my many on this forum. I would suggest you write to American Iron Magazine with your problem and or reference them to the many threads of problems on the 07. Belive me if they follow up and publish a road test on the 07, Harley if not currently will get things really moving.

Cycle World published a test of a Fat Boy last month. They did not experience the issues we have all heard of. They did a sidebar on the heat complaints, which Harley said they were addressing with the remap for now.

They loved the new Harley!

So do I - no issues so far.

Mine was around 24K. Bike, Tourpak, 110 kit, Rinehart pipes, SERT, labor to install and storage for the winter.

I did not go for the extended service contract as i was told it might be voided with the SERT and pipes. OK for basic, though.
