I also see 4V/cyl. and DOHC on that motor. Personally, I wouldn't mind these changes if they retained the sound and feel. Water cooling would reduce emissions, mechanical noise by tightening tolerances, and probably increase engine longevity by allowing engines to attain normal operating temperatures quicker.

Hmmmm.... sounds like my 'ole 1298 Yamaha Venture touring bike... look like..act like..smell like...but did not sound like a Harley....

I don,t buy the fact that water cooling an engine will lead to tighter tollerances/hense, quiter engine. I took a onan engine and built it to the specks of an old corvair engine and except for the exaust noise there was no engine noise. that was 10 years ago on a miller welding machine and it,s still quiet. poor fit/loose tolerances causes noises. Thermal expansion will remain constant at a given temp. set the clearances for the temp you are going to run. IMO.
