Default Hydraulic cam shoe question

Recently put in a e.r.t. bypass oil pump spring to boost oil pressure. will this increase the pressure on the cam chain tensioner and wear it out faster?

Dont know if it will wear it out faster. Since my HYD tensioner upgrade last year my oil press is pegged unless at idle! Hope I dont wear out faster!

I could be wrong about this but I think the high volume pump that is included in the cam tensioner is higher volume not higher pressure.

Yes, BUT the OP was asking since he put in a shim in the pressure releaf spring to increase the oil pressure...

Was responding to the reply by Challenger, only questioning the oil pressure pegging after his install of hydraulic cam tensioner. My oil PRESSURE did not seem to increase after upgrade.

Yes, it does. But just a bit in my 2009 SG.
I ran the first 10K on this bike with the stock HD spring and showed no wear on the shoes. Then added the spring and it was showing some wear at 25K.
Not a scientific test at all. I may have shown the same wear with the stock spring just because of the added miles.
