Default iPod (7th Gen) Mount?

Anybody figured out how to mount an ipod 7th gen on their bike? Ram mounts are too big and the aux out plugs in at the bottom so that is not an option. Riders claw is $94 bucks...which is outrageous. I already have the Ram mount system on my FLHX, just needing a new cradle for the ipod to sit in. Not having any luck. Any ideas?

Are you referring to the Nano? That's the credit card size Ipod right? If so, you may want to look at a post I started the other day on a universal mount that fits into the CD slot on the stock HK radio. (Assuming you have one). I received the unit the other night and although I haven't ridden yet, I'm not real impressed with the rigidity when mounted using my Galaxy S3. However I will update my previous post as soon as I have a chance to ride with the unit. My phone is much larger and likely much heavier than a Nano so you may not experience the vibration and bouncing around that I am anticipating with this holder. Check out my previous thread for the link to the holder, if your interested.

I have a 6th Gen classic(pretty good size Ipod) and mount it with velcro on the front brake resevoir.
Cheap and very functional.

I velcro my Garmin Nuvi GPS on a chrome techmount (http://www.techmounts.com) round surface mount. Great quality and looks great in chrome or black.

Have gone years with this method, through rain and 100+ heat. No issues. For an Ipod I would do the same thing, but I just leave my phone clipped to my belt or in a pocket as normal and use bluetooth.

Yeah I was talking about the ipod Nano. It's maybe the size of a credit card. I have not heard of the mount that uses the cd player, but I do have the stock hk head unit. Do let us know what you think of your mount.
Think I'm gonna go with good ole velcro for now. I know here in Louisiana, I've seen it get so hot that the sticky stuff just melts off velcro and **** will go flying.

If you want to check out nice-looking mounts (including one for that tiny square Nano)... but they're not cheap. Like Riders Claw, these are made in the USA out of solid aluminum, no plastic parts here... you get what you pay for! http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/CTGY/a-tilt.html (see second page for the tiny nano)

I'm thinking about trying a Rider's Claw http://www.ridersclaw.com/, but they aren't cheap. Maybe add it to the Christmas list.

I have one of these on my bike and it is the best mount out there for an ipod/iphone. Sure it is expensive but it is made in the USA and it is a great quality product.
I have a 2012 SG and when I bought the riders claw, I was thinking of upgrading all my grips, etc. to chrome so I went with a chrome riders claw, since then I have changed my mind and I am sticking with black - needless to say, I wish that I would have bought a black riders claw. No biggy, 1 item that is chrome, still looks good.

Jb I am in the sad boat. I wish ram mount would come up with a mount forthe new style nano. They have a mount for the iPad mini already. I don't no why they don't keep up with the mounts for the nano. The riders claw looks nice but is pricey but I also have all the hardware for a ram mount. Just need the new cradle. Thinking of calling them?

I was going to buy a mount for my 6th gen nano from http://www.michaelsstainlessinnovations.com/ but waited. Now I just picked up a new 7th gen nano over the weekend for a steal thanks to black Friday so I am waiting for this guy to make one for it. I like how simple his mounts are and the price is right, plus made in the USA never hurts.
