My 1998 FLSTF calls out 10 Ft lbs which is equal to 120 in lbs. Hope this helps???

2013 Road Glide manual says 12-13 ft-lbs, 16.3-17.6 Nm, so same as 156 in-lbs

People use in/lb torque wrenches when installing simple covers now?

I'm gettin' old I guess...

I didn't even think of that...good ideal...so I looked it up:

the bolts are 1/4 - 20....85-125 in lbs

Cool, was that the grade 5 or grade 8 chart? It depends on where you look, this grade 8 chart says 12 ft/lb or 144 in/lb. http://www.portlandbolt.com/technica...que-chart.html.

this one says 13 ft/lb

i didnt read all the posts but i just came in from servicing my SG & adjusting my clutch. my 2011 manual states 108-120"lbs.
i did mine to 120"lbs

The '07 and '10 Touring manuals say 108-120 in. lb.

Without getting into a pissing contest....Working on your bike and designing them are horses of a different color.

Mech, tech, backyard mech, Mongo turn bolt.

Engineers that design and figure out all the nuances for lack of a better word.

Just because it's same size bolt doesn't mean something didn't change between year models.
