Default PCV Retro fit!

Just got FM's retrofit PCV installed on the 02 RK.

Was a pretty eaasy install, except for all the crap that had to be pulled to get the header off for the O2 bungs welded in.

Ran her a little in the shop to get it warmed up and AT kicking in. It all seems to be working good. Hoping tomorrow is good enough to get her out of the shop and down the road.

Anybody need a PC III? I got one cheap.

Running FM's map, got one ready that should lean things out @ cruise rpm's, we'll see what the FM map does first.

SHE was getting 38mpg, didn't make any difererace of fuel, riding situations, or attitude! Hoping to bump fuel mileage.

Good people, good service, could not think of better service!

Update of PCV upgrade.

Got all the covers back on the exhaust, kinda like a jigsaw puzzle to get them all back on. Went back over every bolt i touched, last two were the muffler hanger on the RH side. Snapped off the rear bolt! S$!+! Spent the next few hours trying t remove the bolt. No Luck. Borrowed a couple of EZ outs, still no luck.

Heading to the Indy on Friday morning, hope he can get it out, if not, SHE will be running stock mufflers, and I know she won't be happy with that!

Got a set of stock 02 FLHRP muffs and a stock set of FLHTP muffs. We will get her running, but she won't be happy with the sound!

That sounds like an EXCELLENT upgrade. Good Deal there for Jamie offering a 'kit' to allow this. I feel that you will be very pleased. With the AT100 upgrade, I can't imagine anything better!!!

For my knowledge, why did you get rid of your PCIII?

Pit1600,

PCIII was upgraded for the PCV so I could add AutoTune, and to get FM mapping. I do believe in FM expertice!

PCIII was added when I updated to gear drive cams and mild ported bigvalve heads. Ever since mileage has been 38mpg. Dosen't make any difference whether it's regular or premium, running hard or easy cruising, one up or two. Plugs show it's still rich, had it into the stealer and dynotuned, still the same thing.

It's now the wifes bike, I'm riding a 09 EGlide w/6 gallon tank. She needs fuel alot more often than I do.

Upgrading to AutoTune I belive I can lean it out some in 5th & 6th, 2500-3000rpm's.

Know anybody who would be interested in a good PCIII? Touring model 02-07? I'd make you a whale of a deal, otherwise it's just going back into the box and in the drawer.

Bachus,

thanks for answer. I have to choose a new tuner for my '04 Ultra after cam upgrade. I had TFI which work great before and good after, i was thinking i miss something. I read a lot on tuners : SE, Thundermax, PCIII, PCV; having o2 sensors and so on...

I finally write a mail to FM and bought their PCIII. Just run it a little (cold and rainy weather here) but seemed to work great and a lot higher than TFI.

You will have to add O2 bungs to your header, LOTS to pull off to get the header off! And you need to find someone to weld them in, or just buy an 09+ header to install. Not all that difficult, just a PITA!

Just don't twist off the muffler bolts!

Now just need some riding weather to get her dialed in!
