I've got the extended warranty, but the local HD dealer has not been able to fix my radio. It cuts out from time to time. They put a re-furbished radio in that was worse than the one they took out. Even though they couldn't fix it, they still charged the $50 deductable.
Gave up on the local Dealers. Sent mine off to Iron Cross Audio. Got it back in just a couple days. They said I had vibration damage, known issue and there is a service bulletin for it. Took care of that issue myself.
Never had a lick of trouble since. Works better than it ever did new.
1+ on the Iron Cross. Sent mine a couple week ago and It got caught up in "Sandy" so it took a extra couple days to get it back. that was ok tho. It works flawlessly. Even better than before. About $300. but my warranty was out.
Isn't Iron Cross a certified HD radio repair station? Meaning you don't have to give it to the dealer you can send it to Iron Cross who will fix it right and all it will cost you is what ever your warranty says plus shipping.
