crushed oil filter
Hi guys ,
Had problems with overtight oil filter .... ending up using the screwdriver method .
Iam wondering if I Can run / warm up engine for some min with the crushed filter on so I can drain the rest of the oil ? ? and then ofcourse put a new oil filter .
it took me some hours to finally unscrew it without running the engine first

You'll never get all the oil out of the sump without some kind of Scavenge system. Even if you run your motor without any new oil in it it will not completely empty out the sump. The only way is to flush it out is with new oil using one of these:

I don't think it's worth it to waste all the oil needed to flush it out using one of these.

Absolutely. Best not to worry too much about getting out every drop of dirty oil when, in reality, it's insignificant. If I am going to obsess about something on the bike, it damn sure won't be over the oil.

Yup, K&N filter+1 on those.
Okay, so I use the scavenger oil change kit for my oil. It's not for everyone and it takes more time to do a change that way. However, when I see that I get about 30 ounces of dirty oil out of the sump that would otherwise mix with the clean oil, I am okay with that.
