We ride two up loaded and were bottoming out on big bumps. On our last trip I bumped the pressure from 20 to 30 psi (50 psi max for 2010) and it made a huge difference. No more bottoming out. I bought the harley pump.

I have the exact same problem! And my wife, well, nevermind...

Listen guys, even if you get the "same" pump as the Harley version.....it doesn't have the Harley shield in the gauge and besides using a non-harley version will void your warranty.

Went to the dealership for a service and asked them to check the Shock Pressure. Came back with "it's fine it's 12 lbs." Checked my manual and bought the pump. I needed to be running around 30... 12 would be good if I were around 150 lbs. Check the manual and buy the pump... love it and coinvienent. Much improved ride.

Hey guys. It seems I'm pumping up the shocks every 2 weeks or so. Is this normal?

From what I hear it is not uncommon.

I move the pressure up to 40 for two up riding and back down to 12 -15 psi for solo riding. But I do this at least a couple times a week and I have not shown any pressure loss between changing. I believe that if you set the pressure at one setting and rode for long periods of time without changing the pressure eventually there will be a pressure drop. Just like your car/truck/bike tires will lose some pressure over time.

I would expect air temperature changes may make a difference also. Just like our tires.

Ride safe,

Bob.
