Question Sony DSX-MS60 ? whats best?

I can no longer stand the HK radio, I'm looking for the "best" aftermarket head unit for my SG. I have been looking at the Sony DSX-MS60 marine unit. I've read a few reviews and some of them not favorable, I going with the Biketronics Retro radio kit, I think, just trying to find out some "real" feedback on head units and or adapter kits. Looking for pros and cons from someone whos"been there, done that". Do I need to use a marine grade? , I do long road trips for sometimes weeks at a time and there has been times that you hit a couple of days of rain.
Thanks for your replies..

I have a Sony MS60 in my Reckless fairing and I like it. No problems thus far and I really like the tune tray. I run all my music off a usb drive stashed inside in the tray. I would buy it again, very satisfied.

I have the Sony DSX-MS60 unit in my Road Glide fairing, and use the Sony RM-X11M Control unit mounted on my handle bar for easy thumb control. I too use the USB thumb drive 99% of the time. Really like the unit.
Have used it several times in the rain..however my windshield and location
of radio it doesn't get much water while moving, and when stopped what water the does "collect" drains at the bottom of the radio.

Its a good radio. A little hard to make changes while riding, overly complicated. for me anyway. It works fine, just use the hand controls, anything else just pull over and stop to do it. You don't have to get a marine unit, regular works fine, you can get a splash shield if you're worried about it. Marine units are easier to see in sunlight

I have the DSX-S100, it is the same radio, just non-marine. The folks at biketronics actually recomended it over the MS60, saying that the "marine grade" wasnt worth the extra money with it being mounted in a fairing and using the "weather wrap" they give you. Rode through the rain Friday from Houston to Dallas with zero problems. I use an old iPod in mine, and after you get used to the interface with the handle bar controls it is great!
