Good to hear the news Nestor. A word of caution....
My nacelle housings showed up, and the boxes they were in were labeled with the right part numbers introduced in model year 11. But!...The parts inside were from MY98. They holes and switch cutouts were different.
Guess what I'm saying is to check your parts, especially the ones that you need to paint.

I assume that whoever you bought from will make good on the error?

When I noticed the problem, I called Bill @ New Castle HD. They are reordering the parts while I ship the wrong ones back. He said he'd check the new parts prior to shipping them to me too.
Great service!

Yes. PM me your email, and I'll send it over.
My parts list may have extras you don't need, like a regular engine guard (CVO SG came with the mustache guard in 2010), and other ABS related items.
Also, the list includes fairing pieces in primed condition only. Painted pieces will vary slightly, if you're looking for a specific color that MOCO offered.

I used to think it was the ugliest bike ever made, wouldn't even give it a second glance. I almost bought one the other day they have REALLY grown on me. My current bike is just about paid for and I have huge plans for it this winter but I can see myself on a sharknose in the near future for sure.
Very cool thread and looking forward to seeing your progress.

I felt exactly the same way about that bike and it has grown on me to over the years especially after the SG came out I started seeing some of the RG's with the shorty windshields and started thinking damn that looks good. I have never gone and looked at an older RG compared to the newer ones but did they make any changes to the fairing over the years like the angles or minor shape changes? I have been told by more than a few that a RG is the best handling bagger out there and that fairing handles the wind better than the batwing, don't know I have never ridden a RG.

I don't regret my SG purchase at all, but the RG has a look that really appeals to me. That sleek and aggressive stance of the front fairing is awesome.
To answer your question, the fairing bracket and lower fairing supports were changed in 2010. The fairing was moved to allow the use of the same fairing lowers on all touring bikes. Prior to that, the RG had to use different ones.
