Now for my Question ,, Harley has a KIT for everything under the Sun for a Harley So Why Not a Kit for the FLHT to FLTR ???

I think everyone on this Forum should Call HD and ask about the Kit ,

Here's the Number -- 414-343-4056

Thanks! I don't ever see a kit like this coming together. The parts list is quite extensive. Plus, imagine how much money they would lose if the majority of people converted instead of trading in...!

...... few of that majority of folks have the ***** or know-how to take on a project like this, be it a kit or not
.... you are a brave man, Redbeard, chopping off the front of a CVO to change heads
.... though i understand the desire to bring your red ride to the Darkside !

I don't get it... Why not just trade it in for a RG or sell it and find a used one. Seems like a great deal of coin to do something like this

Thanks group. I'm looking forward to seeing Colorado anew from behind the sharknose.

The great deal of coin that I'm investing in the project is still a great deal less than the money I've spent on payments, taxes, registrations (which are stupidly high in CO), and any losses I'd take on a trade. Factor in the add-ons and tuning that I've already done, and swapping the front end is more fiscally "responsible"...

Not like we by these bikes to be investments, aside from the fun times they bring us. For me, the conversion is just another fun time.

I've grown attached to my bike, and though I like the new offerings, I want to keep it. I'll make it what Harley didn't.

I guess there has to be a "Why" before a "Why Not", right?
That's my question..

Chad, good to see your conversion is underway. The rest of the parts I needed are now on their way, so I should be into it not far behind you. I will be watching this thread and looking forward to the pics and tips as you proceed. Good luck, and see you on the shark side.

Good to hear the news Nestor. A word of caution....

My nacelle housings showed up, and the boxes they were in were labeled with the right part numbers introduced in model year 11. But!...The parts inside were from MY98. They holes and switch cutouts were different.

Guess what I'm saying is to check your parts, especially the ones that you need to paint.

Independence Pass is a great view, no matter what the fairing looks like! (at least that looks like Independence Pass!!)
