How much is having them painted setting you back? Seems like anyone in the Chicago area wants huge money to paint anything. I was quoted $500 for the CVO rear fender and skirt.

 

Have a friend in the business. He's doing it for material cost. I will help with the grunt work. Adding Kryptonite green over my vivid black in a cool scheme. Like the bike in the link below but green instead of orange

paypal will burn your a$$ just as quick as anyone, I know they got me for $100.

 

I bought a set of top shop bags a little over a month ago when he had that sale. I took them to body shop by the house and was quoted $250 paint in vivid black with the pin stripe if they didnt have much work to do. I dropped in after paint and before buff and the bodyman asked where they came from and said they were some of the best bags he had ever painted. said there was only about 3 pin holes total in both bags and basically just block sanded them and sprayed them. He went on to tell the story of a couple guys who came in with some pretty high priced bags that he said were pretty shitty and took forever to finish. I too did research for a long time before I bought and think that the finish and value of the top shops are un beatable. I will take a few pics in the morn.

The only reason a set of bags will cost $1000 is if the manufacturer is greedy and insists on a 400% markup.
