Default How can one Fob work and not the other??!

So, leaving from work the other day they bike would not turn over. I checked my pocket and the fob was there but still nothing. No cell phone near it or etc.. I ended up entering the security code to get home.

I changed the battery in the fob and still nothing. So I go to get the other fob in the house and it works? How is this possible? Is it easy to fix my bad fob.

By the way, I used the search and found nothing to assist with my situation where one fob works and the other doesn't.

did you verify the replacement battery was good? not unusual to have a "new" one that is bad. Are contacts inside the fob clean and making good contact, also double check the polarity when you installed the battery.
doubt if there is any fixing if its broke its gonna need replaced ill bet

Yep, bought a two pack from Walmart and tried them both. I even flipped the batteries over to make sure I was installing them correct and still nothing. Fob is clean and making good contact. Funny thing is it worked 4 hours prior when I rode for lunch.

I guess I'm more curious why it just stopped working and if it needs re-programming or replacement.

Maybe take the battery out of the one fob that you know works and try it in the other.

I will try that today and let you guys know. I'm guessing not a battery issue since I changed it already but hopefully it is and saves me a trip to the HD dealer.
