Default Help with spark plug reading

Ok, so I decided to change out the SE plugs with a new set of the Pulstar plugs and I noticed the rear cylinder plug didn't look too good... The front appeared to be fairly normal, perhaps a little lean, but the rear plug has what appears to be some oxidation along with some oil around the threads. I purchased the bike (2010 Street Glide) back in Aug with 9500 miles, it now has around 12,000. I have never seen or smelt oil/smoke while riding it. It does has some decel pop every once in a while, not very often. The oil always checks good and doesn't seem to be burning any, so any recommendations as to what is going on? Thanks!

Do a compression test. Be sure to hold throttle wide open when you do it. If it's throttle by wire not really sure how you do that. Mine look like this with 40K. Each set has 10K on them. Might want to put a regular set it. May have been misfireing. Some one may have forgotten to change both. Would not be overly concerned with oil on threads. Probably was not quite as tight as front one. When I install I hit bottom and maybe go 1/8 turn. I get a little oil on threads but they come out that way and you never wear out head threads.

You could also try swapping cylinders with the plugs just to make sure the problem doesn't travel with the plug.

might have something to do with thermal management and one cylinder cutting out.

Next time you start the bike after sitting for a while (overnight), look closely for a puff of smoke when it fires. If you get a little puff at start up that quickly diminishes that could indicate an issue with the valve seals/valve guides allowing oil to run down into the cylinder during non-operation.

The white one looks good obviously.I would just change the plugs and make sure its not a bad plug. They should be the same color. White is normal.

Ok. I'll give that a check although I've never noticed it before. Thanks.

Well I've put a new set in but only have about 250 miles on them. It's gotten cold n rainy here now so may be a few days before I ride again but I'll pull these plugs after about 450-500 miles n see how they look. Thanks.

Have you ever had your bike tuned? It looks like you're running a little lean in front and too rich in back. I'd get it tuned first before looking for oil problems.
