Dude, something is amiss here.
Do you unconsciously ride the brake, or what?
Maybe do a lot of panic stops from 70-80 mph?

 

I found this to be true when I first rode with my Commander IIs. A little disconcerting at first because they felt very very "touchy." But, after a few rides I got used to it and have never looked back. I really think they are a vast improvement in handling and rain performance over the old stock Dunlops. As for the mileage claim, stay tuned.

 

Exactly what I was thinking. That is so abnormal that it begs an eyebrow raise.

 

hey guys.. how about uptate.... MCII's or the Elite 3's.... i noticed my stock front tire at 19k Km need replacement and my rear still looks real good... I'm thinking best to do both at same time... I'm leaning more torwards the E3's from reading several threads..

 

Where did you guys find a Michellin Commander 2 for the front ,Im not havin any luck findin one but I need an 18 for the front for my 11 SG...........

The Michelins are made in Thailand, not Taiwan. Probably not much of a difference, just thought I'd throw that out there.

 

just over 10K on my Michielin C-IIs.... I doubt I'll get anywhere NEAR the claimed 25k, But I'm still quirw pleased with the C-IIs. I thought the E-3s were grat, but these commanders are near perfect

 

Ok, I gotta chime in here. I have always been told the Dunlop 402's have extra strength in the sidewalls for touring bikes. I got a Commander 2 on the rear, and the a-hole at the shop got all bent out of shape, "You'll be lucky if it lasts a month!" Now, I get the fact that guy is a complete idiot and he's a big reason I don't go to that shop anymore. BUT, he is not the only one that has steered me away from anything but the 402. I like my Commander 2, but I don't ride heavy anymore, so I was told "you should be ok." Most you guys are riding newer bikes with bigger tires, but the design of the tires is what I was always told is different. What do you all say??
