Default Iron Butt Saddlesore 1000

Let's hear your story.

Mine started on June 22, 2012 in Chesterfield. MI. at 4:00 A.M. on my 2006 Heritage Softail Classic. Headed north to Mackinac City, Mi. and south to Franklin, Ohio and finally back to Chesterfield, MI.

Total time 20 hrs.
Total mileage 1070

Most memorable part of the trip. I traded in the Heritage for a 2012 Road Glide Ultra.

You should have hung out in Franklin, Ohio for a while. You may have met some of your kin. Everyone in Franklin are those who were migrating from Kentucky to Michigan to work in the auto factories but ran out of gas, so they just settled there.

Panama City Beach to St. Louis via New Orleans. I left Florida @ 9:15 AM Eastern time and got home at 2:15 AM Central time with 998 miles showing on the tripometer. I knew my odometer was slow so @ 2:30 I hopped back on the bike and rode another 34 miles. Total time was right @ 18.5 hours. Total mileage was 1032. My Iron Butt isn't official, it wasn't planned, it just kind of happened. I know I did it, that's all that matters to me.

How did you manage to ride 1070 miles and sit at a dealership trading in your bike in only twenty hours?

June last year, Ocean Beach California to Beaumont TX. 1550 miles, 23h 47min.

Most memorable part was being the only one of 4 bikes to get back to Atlantic Beach, FL and complete the IBA Coast to Coast to Coast ride in 93 hours.

The trip prompted me to trade up. It didn't happen during the trip. Poor phrasing on my part. Sorry.

I did 600 miles in 9 hours recently from Hardy, Arkansas back to Pearl River, La. Had some slow mountain curves in there. Took a quick shower and was ready to go some more. Gotta love a touring bike.

August 3rd, 1050 miles in 17 hours, from Albuquerque to Lake Havasu and back, left at 2am with a couple buddies and got home by 7pm, through a few hours of torrential downpours too.
