Default The rear tire is toast.

After 12,000 miles, and 1 255 cam, the rear tire is toast.

So, now what?!?!

It is a 2008 Ultra Classic. Let the debate begin. I would like to get a bigger tire.

Michelin? Dunlop? Perelli?

Thanks to all who reply.

Buy a new tire?

Not unusual to have to replace a rear tire after 12k if your cranking on it.

I went through the same thought process and ended up with Dulope 404s on the back.

12000 miles and ur pissed? Try 6000 miles on a 200 series tire. That's about what I get on my Fatboy. Gonna try a Michelin Commander next time. Supposed to last longer...

For the best mileage I think You should stick with the stock Dunlops. My 08UC get's around 18K on the rear tire, but then again My wrist does'nt get very tense. lol

12 K? Sounds like you got your $$$ worth.
I got 8800 out of mine and probably should have replaced it earlier..

For the rear 8K is normal for me but I mostly ride two up with bags loaded. The front around 16K.
