Isn't that just damn typical of modern companies? They have a product that everybody likes and that works great - so they change it!

Remember "New Coke"?

Screw em, plenty of other good products out there!

Actually this change was due to some federal regulation requirement to eliminate "petroleum based propellant." In other words, actual wax in the sprayer is a no-no. I haven't checked the wipes label to see if the wipes still use wax. I've checked the labels on every brand of spray "polish" I could find and the all show no more wax in the formula.

That is humor, I recognize that! (Credit: Sargent Major Dickerson to Adrian Cronauer - Good Morning Vietnam).

I'll have to check my cans at home. Been buying them at Sam's Club in a 3 pack all summer. Actually found it removes tar and bug guts from my Subbies too. Been going thru it all summer. In PA they tar/chip roads a lot. We've had a season of cleaning.

Far as I know, the cans I have are new. I've not checked them but will. It is lemmon pledge...never gave it a thought that it was a new formula. Works for me. May not last as long as WAX's mentioned on this thread but its quick and works an all my bike and car surfaces.

Hmmm...

i don't know if that is the same as the 'hondabrite' that they used to sell but if so they have also changed their formulation to a more 'environmentally friendly' base and does not work anywhere near as well as it used to. what you want is the original hondabrite, which is now marketed under its own label as 'the original spray cleaner and polish'. found at many metric dealers, around $6.00 a can.
