I have them in my road king and there is more noise, loudest at 72 to 78 mph. Runs good though, the noise im getting used too. I have a little less than 200 bucks in the cams gaskets and bearings. Good performance for the money.

Mine has little top-end noise, certainly very little more than I had with the stock cams. I use a 3/4 helmet and my ears aren't what they were in years past, so that may be a factor in my assessment. I can hear some top-end noise if I turn the stereo off and listen carefully, but it is nowhere near a level that is noticeable in everyday riding. What is louder, though, is exhaust noise. This was expected and I just live with it. I'm certainly not going back to stock.

perhaps some ear plugs would help you enjoy your bike more and protect your hearing from wind noise damage

sorry just being a smart *** .

enjoy !

After I got my cams installed my bike got noisy too. It wasnt bad with the pennzoil 20w-50 auto oil I had in there for break in but once I changed it out and put mobil 1 in it was so loud I thought something was broken. I was so concerned actually that I took the bike in to have em look and listen.
They said it was nothing so I rode with that oil in the engine for 1000 miles and finally had enough. Drained it and put in royal purple auto 20w-50 and almost immediately the noise ceased.
After that oil change interval I went with motul 10w-60 auto oil and the top end was whisper quiet with it too. I think I've got a ton of mobil 1 that I've now got Try and use up somewhere,or trade it for something I like.

That was going to be my suggestion too HDV, what Shredding said about trying some new oil.
I am tired of the noisy top end too.

I bought a case of Brad Penn partial syn, 20/50 racing oil, not motorycle oil but the regular and am gong to try it.
I think that there is something to changing oils though for the noisy top ends though.

I like Amsoil. But I'm going to admit, I think synthetic is noisier than Dino. I won't say Why, but I'm not going to give up on Amsoil. What I did do is this, I tried the new sae 60 and mixed it with 2 quarts of 20/50, better. I drained a little out, and added 8 ounces of stp, mostly because of the high concentration of zinc and phosphorus. Much, much better. I think my next service will be all 60 weight, and see how that sounds.....

After the cam change, I dumped the Amsoil and went back to Mobil 1. Maybe the next oil change I'll try something different but for now I'll live with the increased top end noise by turning up the radio volume.....Let me know if the Bard Penn oil makes any difference in engine noise.

I have seen other post about Redline oils, they have a 20-60 vtwin oil.
Torco puts out a 20-60 vtwin oil too, maybe the 20-60 weight will help.

That's interesting, as that's the oil I'm using too. OTOH after hearing reports of some oils making an engine louder or quieter I am still skeptical that a particular brand of oil that's the correct viscosity can make much of a difference. I haven't experimented with other brands and can't say for sure.

It made a difference HDV..
Changed it yesterday and it is much quieter. Brad Penn, 20/50 racing oil the car oil, not the motorcycle specifc oil.
Glad I did!!
No issues now with the ticky ticky tick, sewing machine sound.
