Anyone changed out. had some made or otherwise not happy with the lower pocket covers on the new say I guess 00 and newer bikes?
I thought but cant say for sure that at one time they where actually leather like the softail saddle bags and they used the old blade style twist latches??

Im thinking about having a buddy who has close friend who makes custom saddles hand tool me some....I just dislike the fugging rubber/plastic ones. I think they look cheap as hell.....and saddle leather is just as weather resistant/proof as the stockers...

 

Get magnetic doors. Easy to get into and easy to close.

 

I have the Locking Doors on my Lower Pockets.
They are keyed the same as Ignition. Great storage.

 

Another plug for the magnetic covers. I also added the soft liners which keep items from rattling around inside the compartment.

 

I'm really liking the magnetic doors I have....
But a custom set of leather tooled covers with the magnetic closures
would be really cool, I say go-for-it !!!!
