Here is a pretty good answer in my shortcut..

Note the problem was not getting too tight. The very early version was not ratcheting and after some wear was letting the chain have too much slack. There really has never been an issue of it being too tight. just a misunderstanding of what to expect if you do indeed check it. It appears to run at 3/8 play but really is about 1/2" if you push on it firmly. You can run the old manual adjuster at 1/2-5/8" with no problem.

You're totally mistaken about that. Many of the newer bikes have had issues with the adjusters running the primary chain too tight. You need to get your facts straight before making misinformed comments like that.

Take off a little hard and release the throttle fast and you will find the primary chain as tight as a piano string. Ask me how I know! Hayden installed now.

Default WAY 2 Tight

When I pulled my cover ti install the Hayden..The chain was tighter than my drive belt.
I couldn't move it up or down.
