Default Fairing mount mirror --help

Just bought 91945-08b fairing mount mirror kit. Wow..what a POS quality. Anyway....it comes with 2 spacer/washer things that are supposed to be oriented R and L. However, neither have any markings (although they are different). Ive tried them all possible ways. Some fit better than others, but no orientation conforms to the fairing contour. Does anyone know how these are supposed to fit? My gut instinct is to put some black silicone behind them to fit the contour....but I thought Id ask the forum first.

I think they go on the inside of the fairing under the nut. I just put a pair on my wife's about a month ago.

Mine had L & R marked on them but I had to look close. They don't fit the contour perfectly. I positioned mine a little higher and out a little further for better vision for me, because I didn't like where my friends mounted by using the template.

and remember the torque spec is inch pounds, not ft lbs

a few riders have snapped the mount by misreading that

Really? I was assuming they go between the mirror and the fairing...

If you look it up on the HD website there is a PDF installation sheet. Conversely many people also install the handlebar mounted mirrors for extra coverage of what is behind you.

Got it! Thanks all. There was an instruction sheet in the box....but it was pretty worthless. Appeared to be thought out in a different language, then translated to english. (imagine that). I did sand and re-contour the base of the mirror a little to make for a better fit. Thanks to all who contributed.
