I originally had black Rhineharts with chrome caps and chrome headers.
Changed that to powder coated black heat shields then changed to a VH Power Dual header.
Didn't mind the chrome header and black slip on but like all black better.
Black PYO bars with chrome controls, cables and edge cut accessories.

Once you go black you never go back.
I love the black and chrome look.
Bars, pipes, and other chrome metal parts, fog lamps, etc.. all black, and then leave the engine 1/2 and 1/2 if you have the black powder coat and chrome now.
To me bars and pipes look better black, and are easier to clean./
Too much black is no good either though, imho, I see what they call murdered out look, all black, I think it takes away and had no contrast you need some chrome, like the heads and valve covers, maybe a few covers.,
Also, black and yellow, black and blue and black and red look fantastic if you get the right balance, then add some leds to match the secondary color.
The engines that are powder coated black and chrome combos look awesome as compared to either all chrome or all back.
I remember the guys a few years back that bought as much chrome as they could possibly find, inner and outer primary, etc.. and to me it was just way too much and expensive and harder to clean.
I am doing my front forks uppers and lowers, luggage rack, highway bar, bars, pipes, and bag protectors the round bar metal bumpers on the front fender and rear bags, all black, headlight and passing lamps too.
Whatever floats your boat though.
