I have had new tires slip a little while cornering. Just put ne front tire on and cleaned it with a magic eraser and cleaned the sides of the tread as well. Did not notice any slippage.

I gotcha. Just wanted to clarify the "cleaners" should not be used. Nothing inferred to your posting friend!!

This is what I always do with new tires. Put on new rubber, then go down the road and weave back and forth from lane to lane at about 30 or 40 mph. Do that for about a 1/4 mile and your tires will be "scrubbed in". Always worked for me. BTW, gravel roads work best for this if you have one around you.
