Default Saddlebag lid haulers on an Ultra

Who uses the Ride Tek lid haulers on an Ultra. I know that the Tour pak and the rear speakers will limit how much I would be able put in the stuff sacks, but how much will actually fit in them. Show me your pics. thanks

I used them on a couple of trips w/the wife, she got 1 and I the other, put rain gear and stuff we didn't use every day in them. They aren't that big around. Hope this helps a bit, sorry no pic's.

I'd be more concerned about the paint being damaged- any dirt gets in underneath can just grind away

I don't use them on solo trips, but when the wife came along it was handy because of the extra room in the tour pack. But the more she goes the less she is taking. Rules of the road trips are we each get a saddle bag and the tourpak is common. I have no need for them currently and would not buy them again.

They did keep the grand kids from scratching the lids with their shoes though.

Thanks man. I'm in the same boat, trying to get more storage on trips for the little woman.

I've had a set on my Road Glide for 10 years. During that time they've been on the bike probably 50% of the time. I bought them primarily to keep the kids from scratching the lids, and they've done well in that regard. I've not had any problem with dirt getting under the cover and scratching during that time. Ironic that wife and I went on a short trip last month with them off and she scratched one of the lids that I protected from the kids for 10 years.

I have also used them occasionally for expansion space. As previously stated the sacks that come with them aren't all that large, but they do come in handy. The lids covers with straps are also handy in that I can wear my jacket on cool mornings and take it off when it warms up and strap the jacket to the lid.

I would buy them again. I don't need the carry capacity all that often, but it is really nice to have when I do.
