Default lower fairing speakers differences

I ordered a set of HD lowers for my bike and called hawgwired to buy a set of speaker and amp. Apparently there is a cvo set that takes 6.25 speakers and the reg one's with smaller speakers. Is there any significant difference in being able to hear the speakers using the smaller 5.? Speakers.

Don't know if this will help but, I have Hog Tune speakers in my fairing & lowers and their 4 ch. amp, can't really hear the lower speakers at all going down the road. Does sound good in the garage when cleaning the bike though!

Good Luck

How many watt amp are you using. Anybody else have similar results with the lower speakers? I dont really want bag lid speakers cause of the ohlin shocks im using and that would make adjustment more of a pain when switching from solo to double

I have JL C2 6.5" speakers in my fairing and lowers. Blew a fairing speaker and have been using the lowers only til I put the polks I just got in. I can hear them just fine. I also thought the lowers didn't make much difference til I didn't have the uppers. The sound all mixes together down the road but with both the uppers and lowers I don't have to turn the volume so high and the sound is fuller. Yes there is a big difference between 5.25" and 6.5' speakers. Just replacing the smaller fairing speakers with 6.5" ones make a big difference.

Did you have to buy special glove box plates to accept the 6.5
speakers?

What model Polk's? Are those the Harley speaker grills painted? Do you have a closer pic?
