I just bought a set from my local HD dealer and they were $59, they came with the 2 reflectors, on my bike they fit good and work good, no complaints, I did not use the reflectors though lol.

Some of those "Elephant Ears" look like they stop alot of the air which would normally hit the engine for cooling. A number of years ago, a friend bought a set for his bike and the instructions insisted that they not be used when the outside temperature reached 50 degrees. Do the instructions on the new ones still say that?

I have the Desert Dawg lowers they are well made and look and work great if you do a search a forum member did some tests and they actually are desined to direct some more air to engine . his test showed a 10 to 15 degree drop of engine temps .

I leave them on till it gets 95f then off for my comfort .

I am not sure, but they were on the clearance table in the dealership marked $59.99, I was going to buy some on ebay to try them but they were almost the same price so I said what the hell. I did not look where they were made but they seem pretty heavy duty and work good so far, just got them this weekend though and only tried them once. I will say mine look different then yours, mine do not have the colored piping around it and the HD logo has no writing in it, just a blank bar and shield. I will take a couple of pics when I get home and post.

Linby maker of the linbar also sells engine guard soft covers, and I think they are made in USA too.

Before I returned those, I would lay them on some cardboard and draw an outline and take some measurements. Then I would have a local upholstery shop make a set for you. Better quality and you're supporting local business.

If HD continues to offshore this stuff, I hope they are smart enough to get it from Japan.
