Default Who is running the Michelin Commander (not MC II)

Just curious as I had one put on the rear of my bike and the short ride I had on it, maybe 15 miles on wet roads I did slip a bit on a turn. Fortunately I wasn't going fast but have never slid on the Dunlop E III's I have been running. FWIW I did spin the tire holding the front brake just after having it installed. I just found myself in dire need of a tire and couldn't wait to have one delivered from an online store. Also exhausted all other efforts of finding what I wanted locally, the MC II or Dunlop E III. I'm not so much concerned about tire longevity as I am safety. I have a set on MC II's being delivered the end of this week.

Not sure if they were having problems with the Commanders but this is what mine looked like one day a few months back, lots of rubber left but sucker split right in the middle of the tread!! Not sure how many miles, it was on the bike when I bought it.

Just replaced my Commander rear tire. Had 9500 miles on it. Replaced it with a MCII. Never had any issues withe Commander, other than it wore to fast. A new tire with 15 miles on it dosen't suprise me it might slip some when wet until it is broke in.

How old was this tire? Just wondering if you got an old one that was sitting for a while.

The tire was on the bike when I bought it and the date stamp indicated it was 4 years old
