Default Best stereo system?

I have an 04 electra standard. I would like to only utilize the fairing speakers. So I need to buy a Deck, Amp, Antenna, and 2 speakers. My budget is $1000.

What system's are good?

I read alot about hogtune, but I'm not sure if they're the best or just the "name brand"?

Thanks for your input...

I believe I have found an acceptable head unit for motorcycles. It is a marine grade Alpine, CDA9886M. Man Sug retail is 349.99. Might could find one for a bit less shopping around. Take a look at the specs http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/cda-9886M.
They also have an amp packaged small enough to fit in the fairing. This is the route I will take upon deciding to install a stereo. As of now, I am content with my music stored on my phone and some ear buds. I could even take a call if I chose too.
My $0.02

Lots of stereo threads. Best bang for buck will be staying away from bike specific stuff and go with quality car stereo components imho. Biketronics and Hawg wired have kits to mount and wire about anything up. Check out Crutchfield and/or sonic electronix to narrow your choices and quality local car stereo shops to touch and hear them. There is really no "BEST". Good luck.

Hawg Wired is the best quality stuff designed for Harleys imo. I had a 2 channel amp hooked to 2 HW fairing speakers on a Electraglide standard running off a oem HK harley head unit and it would blow away most 4 channel speaker systems on the ultra's my buddies had including J&M and Hogtunes.

Don't waist ur money on the J&M junk... Look at hertz speakers, Sony marine for decks, and JL audio for amps. Biketronics sells kits to make the Sony all plug and play and retain your handlebar mounted stock controls.
