Default Rear Fender Bib?

I want to us a solo seat for my SG, but due to having a black denim paint job I have some shiny sections where the seat rubs and of course I can't buff them out. So I'm thinking about getting a fender bib to throw on and hide those parts. Only problem is that I don't know if I will cover them. Does somebody have a pic where they have used a bib? I wan to see where they reach to so that I have an idea how it would turn out. Thanks.

a bib/bra etc will likely damage the paint underneath from wind action and then once dirt dust and grit gets under there it'll really mess it up.

so you can put it on, planning to leave on forever.

does your bike have the bumper kit to raise the seat off the frame?
you can always shave the ribs on the underside of the seat to get clearance

I have to disagree with this, I ran a fender bib on my Fatboy Lo and after years it did not cause any damage to the paint.

Even if I do get some damage I'm ok with it as long as it will be covered when either the bib or full seat are on.

I have one that i'm no longer using, I'll be putting it up for sale on ebay soon. This was custom made, very thick leather with soft felt underside protection. I removed it yesterday to clean the fender and found the fender to be perfect. I bought it to protect the fender from strapping a duffle bag to the fender. After rereading my post I realized that it looks like I'm trying to sell my bib, please excuse me I should have mentioned that custom made bibs are available and can hide many issues, it was not my intention to sell you mine.

I put a Mustang bib on mine that matches the seat and hides the damage to my rear fender from the passenger pillion. I put a Motherwell luggage rack over it because I like the look. This is the best pic I have. I hope it helps.
