I think the STD is overpriced as it was about 1 - 2,000 dollars cheaper when new. RG has Radio and gauges. I don't think 10,000 miles is that much difference. Both are low mileage. My 2007 has 29,000 on it. Try and ride them both and see which 1 you like best.

I am biased, REALLY biased, came off a Road King with a add on batwing that I never took off and am not looking back. Had the opportunity to get either a RG or a UC new at same pricing, had made the mistake of riding a friends RG. Can tell you now, you get a few miles on a Roadie and you won't look back either.

Put almost 3000 miles on the new RG as a first run trip, cannot be happier on a ride than we were on this.

I agree, my 99 standard I bought for $8k, changed the tensioners and am making it into what I want. I test drove new bikes and for over $20k I will stay with my 99, they are nice, but not over $12k more nice, look at all the money you will have to customize it to your liking, I have over 40k miles on mine with no problems, take care of it and it will last a long time.

They are for sale from individuals not a dealer. They are actually two of the cheaper ones I have seen others for less either have more miles or small cosmetic issues the standard does have radio so no extra goodies on the road glide but the chrome. How much you think they should go for?

If they are sold by individuals remember cash talks. They might take 9 if they are desperate. Point out to them that the riding season is almost over and that you got a few other bikes to look at. The real question is what do you want to spend.
