Does anyone know if either one includes a full diameter "cross under" pipe or do both re-use the squashed HD pipe... or maybe there's no advantage to making that section of pipe round and at full diameter?

I happened to be talking to Feul Moto today and I was told that their header system uses the stock cross under pipe. BTW, I'm going with the FM header w/ V&H Monster Ovals.

The Power Duals use a full sized pipe, it also reduces the ground clearance a little and I don't think helps out the power. The 2-1-2 design tend to allow the majority of the exhaust out the rt side pipe anyway so I don't think you loose anything with the smaller cross over.
I installed my jackpot this last weekend and it was just as advertised. I went SS, cuts out the heat and adds a better sound! Exactly what I expected. And yes of course top notch material, warranty, and service!!

Seems like another trade off - V&H with less ground clearance (right-handers and front to back) versus F-M with stock squashed cross under (more of a tendency to reduce "true dual" sound but may well help torque).
Why not check out MGS True Duals as another option? Great power, sound, and looks.
I'm changing to something, and your pipes are one of the somethings I'm considering. (I should say still considering, we corresponded a few months back about them)
