Sorry to hear about that, man. I did the same thing a few years back and spent 2mos in a cast. Luckily it was winter and riding season was over. I actually strengthened my hand and arm getting back on the bike and riding.

Hope you mend well. Like you said you can get an early start on the winter mods.

I ruptured (detached from the bone) a bicep tendon and elected to not have surgery based on a conversation with my sports medicine doc. I had full strength back in about 6 wks. Turns out there is another muscle in there that does most of the work when you bend your arm. Maybe you'll get lucky and be back in action before you know it.

And I did manage to at least get a good couple rides in this weekend.
Sorry bout your injury. They obviously have a break in the mainline sewer also. All that fill went somewhere, usually down the storm sewer. Takes 2 breaks to cause that kind of sinkhole. The water washes the fill into the broken storm sewer.

Good luck with all. I'm trying to put off rotator cuff surgery as long as I can bear it.

Yes sir, there was a 24 inch clay sanitary sewer 14ft down and about 15ft to the south of our main!

So hows the biceps doing. Just had surgery Monday to reattach my distal biceps tendon. No riding for a few months for me.
