RE: Tip for keeping oil off the garage or driveway
I have flattened out an old box. You know the kind , they are kinda light brown or tan. Took the staples and tape offen it, flattened it out flat. Layed it under whatever I was working on. Flattened boxes is what I have used..

I had my garage floor surfaced with Epoxy. It is WAY SWEET if you work on engines. Everything wips up with a paper towl, never leaves any markes. Mine is a dark blue color, but you can get any color. My buddy has a tan color.I have a 3 car garage, I paid $1000 for the floor. You can do it yourself for less, but the smell is very very strong and the floor should be treated with acid before you start.

I tried cardboard, but it didn't work very well ... it absorbed some of the oil but not all of it. Seemed like I just couldn't find a large enough piece of cardboard to absorb it all.
Then a friend suggested I buy oil pan and put it under the bike to catch the oil, but those cost money, so now I just take the bike out in the back yard and let the oil drain out on the ground. No clean up ... nothing to throw away ... and no kitty litter needed.

Sometimes the obvious is overlooked. Here's a tip from the Website "Extraordinary Uses for Cardboard Boxes". Who would ever have thought of using cardboard? Brilliant!
Make a drip pan
Prevent an oil leak from soiling your garage floor or driveway. Make a drip pan by placing a few sheets of corrugated cardboard in a cookie sheet and placing the pan under your car's drip. For better absorption, sprinkle some cat litter, sawdust, or oatmeal into the pan on top of the cardboard. Replace with fresh cardboard as needed.

The image of a tough bikerdude walking out of WalMart with a box of Pee Pad and bag of Kitty Litter is too much to handle. Sort of aVillage People scene comes to mind, YMCA playing on the new HogTunes....
I think the oil stains in my garage go with the spray paint and other crap already on the floor.
