Default Mustang Seat Dilhemma

I'm new to the HD forum, and I am a HD newbie. I will be asking all kinds of questions. I want to replace the seat of my 2007 RKC and have narrowed it down to 2 of the Mustang offerings. I don't remember their names but one,I think, is called Regal Touring. It looks plush and pillowey. The other is their "touring seat" I'm leaning towards the touring seat UNLESS the Regal seat is a lot more comfortable. Please let me know. Thanks.

KJ,

I've had 2 Mustang Seats on 2 different Harley's. I have ridden 700 plus mile days more than once on both seats and 1 day of 1062 miles. I've had both the regal style on a 95 Ultra and now the smoother touring style on my current '05 Ultra. I think the regal was a little more cushy but I like the smooth style without the buttons poking me in the ****.

Speaking of **** if you have a wide one like me the 17" width helps.

The first thing I bought after buying the '05 was a mustang seat. I love 'em.

The day I picked up my '05 RKC from the dealer I ordered the Sundowner Solo seat. I road about week with the stock seat before installing the Sundowner. Extremely comfortable seat and I really liked it. However, after reading a lot of posts on here in regards to lower back pain, I decided to go with the Mustang Solo with removable Rider's Backrest. I also purchased the Passenger Pillion and the Harley setup for the quick removable passenger backrest. I absolutely love the setup and it allows me to set it up which ever flavor I want depending on the riding situation.

I had Mustangs on my last two bikes and currently have the Sundowner on the RKC. I think they're about equal for comfort and rideability. I went with the Sundowner this time because it matches the saddlebags and is less money. Whichever you choose, get the backrest, you'll thank yourself for it.

And, welcome to the forum.

I rode my buddy's RK with a Mustang and I have the Sundowner I couldn't find a huge difference between the two besides mine was $100 cheaper and exactly matches my bike. I have a rider backrest for mine and he doesn't, but I only rode about 25 miles so the backrest wouldn't have come into question for comfort.

I've had both. I like the smooth without the pillows and buttons better.

I guess that picture was taken right before he picked up the bike, threw it on his shoulder and carried it home.
