HELP! Brake light stays on & Cruise not working!
#12
Another option would be just order one online. It does not take long to change it. I can't imagine it being much money. Not worth loosin a 1/2 day at the dealer. What part of NC are in you in. I just had the same problem on a old bike. It took about 15 minutes to replace it and bleed the back brake.

That did it, took the controls off and cleaned them up. Put it all back on and the light is off. Dirt road living lol. Sand and vibration must have been the culprit. Thanks Bagga

Funny any dealer wouldn't know better than that. those switches go bad all the time. i had one go bad on my '06.Opposite problem though,it wouldn't turn the brake light on,therefor wouldn't turn the cc off. Lot's of old cars used the same type brakelight switch, and they go bad too. Guys on the Studebaker forum were using Harley switches as an 'upgrade' to the stock switch.
There's a cheaper alternative available from auto parts stores, but I can't remember what it is.
