hi..i have a number of them at the chromer right now. if they didnt raise the price from my last batch..price is $269 plus shipping. (includes under-seat mounts). components are cnc machined, laser cut....then pre-polished, fixtured/tig welded... then repolished and chromed. whew!
its made in milwaukee..not CHINA! .
it'll fit theroad king classic. it will not fit the hardbagged road king standard model. i have additional photos if you like.
thanks again

Pastor John,

Did you already have the detachable hardware in place previously or did you have to install it for this rack? If so, how hard was it to install? I've read earlier threads about it being a real pain as some of these simple looking projects are. Any help is appreciated.
The docking kit was a major PITA. I installed the oil cooler right afterward, and that was a cakewalk by comparison. The problem is confusing instructions, and it would be wise to read them thoroughly, make sure you understand every step, and lay everything out ahead of time.

Yep - what iclick said; the detachable bracket is much harder to install than it should be due to poor instructions. Once I saw how it was supposed to look, it took about 45 minutes.

The Detachable Solo Rack is HD part number 53048-06 and is on page 422 in my book for $205.95

I bought a Corbin solo seat and now I need a rack to strap a tent etc to soI bought the detactable HD rack.I have it down at the upholstery shop getting fitted with a passenger pad that will just strap on with velcro straps.I'll let you all know how this turns out as the rack says Max cap 10 lbs.The girlfriend weighs 130 lbs so I guess i'll find out how sturdy it is 1st time i take her for a ride

Pastor John,

Thanks thats a nice looking rack and it definitely looks more functional and sturdy than others i've seen. i want to go with a solo seat and that same rack on my E-Glide.

Is that docking hardware the same hardware used for the detachable tourpack and detachable sissy bar?

It looks like there are two options with the detachable docking hardware. The one you want for the rack is the same as what fits the detachable sissy bar (without the "hoops" in the rear for the tour pak). I think the hoops are for the detachable tour pak hardware for two-up riding. That sounds more confusing than real life - your dealer should know what you need. Here's a pic that (doesn't really) show how it's mounted:
