Hi Flo Air Cleaner

Hi Flo Air Cleaner
Looking to installing a new air cleaner like a roland sands or perforfance machine on my 2013 street glide. No other mods yet such as pipes or anything yet. With the air cleaner only install, will I need to have anything adjusted or remapped? Just want to be sure for now. I know once I get pipes I will have to but riding season is almost over here in Ohio so just doing the a/c for now. Thanks

most likely you will not* need to alter the tuning.
but be aware that you will have increased intake noise and perhaps notice a "flutter" sound from the intake- this is normal.
you will not enjoy any increases in power/performance/fun until you open up the exhaust tract- at which time you will almost certainly* need tuning compensation.
the classic "stage 1" is good for 7 to 10 horsepower.
regarding your choice of air cleaner: the throttle body has an ugly plug and wiring at 8 o'clock- you might want to look at that and see if you want to expose it.
hi flow air cleaners which use the stock cover do a good job of hiding this
there are servo motor "covers" which hide this, but they do not work with all air cleaners- and is an additional $80 tossed into the bike that doesn't have any payback

* I know stock bikes that needed tuning help ( mine) and my Pal's 11 FLHTK has A/C and headers/pipes with NO tuning compensation...runs great. In most cases a tuning solution will be needed.
from $100 to $1000 depending on the owners desires
