Default SE Fat Shotz - Anyone run with no discs or cap?

I am wondering if anyone is running Screaming Eagle Fat Shotz without any discs or end cap. Just wide open?

I'm not because of the noise.

no reason why you could not do that if you wanted.

I have a 09 Ultra with a 96' , 255 Cams,Boyesen Power X Intake A/C , SE Stage II Download & Xied's With SE Eagle Fatshotz's

Have tried running different discs

1.10 discs with open endcap
2.10 discs with Closed endcap
3.13 discs with Closed endcap
4.16 discs with Closed endcap ( this is where it runs the BEST)

Hope this Helps..

I experimented when I put mine on with:
10 disks open cap (a deeper lower tone from the 3.5 Jackpots I had on)
13 disks closed cap (super quiet and ran real hot like I still had the cat)
16 disks closed cap ( very little difference from 13 caps)

I stayed with the original out of box configuration (10 disk/open cap) which gives me good power, favorable tone and standard heat.

I have the SE Fatshots, stock configuration. I ran Supertrapps on my last bike, open end caps = 8 to 10 disks. Don't know what the sound difference would be, all I know is I like the way mine sounds, not too loud but nice and deep when you punch it.

He's my combination attempts.
Have 204 cams and Rush true duals with the TTS.
Had Jackpots, way too loud and tinny.
Put on Fatshotz with open caps, (right out of the box). Liked the tone but power was noticeably down, way down on the butt dyno and lost 10tq and 5 hp on the dyno. Phoned Supertrapp, nice guys but it was all guess work from here on.
Went from 4 to 15 disc, open caps. No change in butt dyno.
Tried closed and 14 on their recommendation to regain loss of torque. Estimated I lost another 10tq on top of what was already lacking. Felt like the bike was choking. Back to 13 and open and living with it.
The theory is there but who has a zillion dollars to put the bike on the dyno again and properly tune it.
