07 mufflers on 06 road glide
I'm looking for mufflers slightly louder than the 06 mufflers and don't want to have to remap or change the intake. I've heard from several guy's that the stock 07 mufflers are slightly louder and will work. Looking for someone who has actually done it and their results. Thanks in advance for your help.

RE: 07 mufflers on 06 road glide
I bought a set of '07 SG mufflers to have modified and I put them on my '06 RK to hear how they sounded before I sent them out for the mods, I thought they sounded like crap, really bad, even worse than my stock '06 mufflers, they were a little louder, but had a really hollow, whooshing sound to them, some guys like that, I don't.
Sound is such a subjective thing, talk to ten guys and you will get ten opinions on what sounds good.
I'm not a fuelie guru, but from what I've read here on the forum, if you do not change the air cleaner, you typically don't have to remap your ecm. try punching a bigger hole in the baffle in the end of your mufflers, if you don't like the sound, you can pick up another set really cheap on ebay, I paid 40 bucks for the stock SG mufflers.
that's one reason I ordered my bike with a carburetor, if I want to change pipes, or whatever, a jet change and/or mixture screw adjustment is all I need to do
