Default Replaced fuel filter, now low fuel light stays on

I replaced the fuel filter on my 2006 Street Glide this past weekend. Got everything put back together, filled up the tank to full and the low fuel light stays on. Anybody have any suggestions to try before I take it all apart again to check the float?

Pretty sure it's bad news. Did the same thing a few weeks ago with mine. Had to take it back out. I had inadvertantly got it hung up while getting it back in. Worked fine the second time around.

That's what I though I would have to do. Did you buy new screws for the fuel pump assemble to screw back down onto the tank? Those little suckers were $1.95 each at the dealership, 10 screws = $19.50 - Harley should be ashamed of themselves. Those screws along with the gasket should be part of the fuel filter kit that they charge $78.95 for!!
