Following this... I'm tired of the sunburn I get from my console and fuel door...

here's my FXRp
the console started life as a chrome piece.
nothing special, no need to scuff it up, sand it or remove the chrome plating
rattle can wrinkle black, followed the directions.
sprayed it heavy, laid it out in the warm sun. also did the speedo/tach mount as some other parts
...redid it about 15 years later.

Thanks for the other pics as well guys but I wanted to see it on a touring bike. I have a 2010 Street Bob too so I know what the console looks like on a bike just trying to decide if it would look good on the Street Glide.

how does the stuff last. I did my rear fender strut covers. They were chrome. I sanded the chrome until rough. Then I sanded with a very fine grit stone on my dremel. I used etching primer and then used auto flat black. It's ok and looks great, but it scratches really easy. I don't want to do the console unless it will stand up to a little scratching.
Thx for any input. Not trying to hi-jack the thread just add to it.
