Default Fork oil change 2013 ultra limited

Has anyone changed the fork oil on a 2013? Is it the same procedure as 2007 with about 11oz of oil?

Why would you want to change the fork oil on a brand new bike?

Oil is to light just like my 07, dives when braking.

Measure what you take out and replace exactly that.

yeah, but the manual has you remove the forks and take them apart. just to change the oil, not necessary.

to the op, can't definitively answer your question, but i'm gonna go with same procedure as for the 07....

No need to disassemble the forks. Just drain and replace, 15 weight improves the front end diving when braking. I replace mine every 10,000 miles.

The online parts diagram shows no difference, but does not give part numbers. I was using the SE Heavy Fork Oil in the 07 but I did a search and other posts say it causes a harsh ride on the later bikes so I guess the valving is different. I am going to try the Belray 15wt.

Default Me too

I also tried the SE Heavy and right after, rode on a dirt road with washboard finish. I could hardly keep it above 5-7mph and everyone in the group was passing me. Changed to Bel Ray 10 wt and like it.

On the 09 UC, it says to remove the forks and tip upside down etc, but if you remove the screw at the bottom of each fork tube, and work the forks, the oil will come out. I left mine over night to let it all drain down. Removed the inner fairing and unscrewed the fork tube cap, and using a long funnel, measured out the exact amount recommended and put everything back together. GTG

I believe same as 2010 limited. 2010 calls for 10.8 oz.per tube
