It's not going to do you any good to set the clock. Every time you go to work on it you have to remove the 40 amp fuse so it doesn't blow up. That must be the reason because the service manual says it constantly. After that the clock will have to be reset. But at least you will be proficient at clock setting.
If you create a login on the HD website the basic manuals, ie operations, owners, safety, are there for your particular model.. Thats where I can read mine anyway...good luck.
not that far back. i think it only goes back to 06, anything older and they give you a link to purchase the manuals.
My 05 ultra is done this way. The time of day is set with the ignition/headlamp key switch to ignition or access but with the receiver off. Press the hours (HRS) button on the receiver front panel to increment the hours in the display. Pressing and holding HRS will cause the hours to continue to increment until the button is released.
Press he minutes (MIN) button on the receiver front panel to increment the minutes in the display. Pressing and holding MIN will cause the minutes to continue to increment until the button is released.
Hope this helps
This is what you need to do to set the clock. Mine gains time so have to do this often.
